Supporting our Local Community
Happy New Year from all the team at Great2!
One of the main things we are focusing on in the year ahead is to deepen our relationships within our local community.
We’ve written previously about how valuable networking is for a small business and why we feel it’s important to create a sense of community for our Great2Work members and Great2Grow clients.
We will be launching our quarterly networking events in the next couple of months, in addition to inviting more clients, members and friends into Hayfield House for our Lunch & Learn programme. Check our the Great2Work Community Calendar for the latest upcoming events.
Building strong relationships with local networks and communities is essential and rewarding. It’s a two-way street. We get to broaden our horizons and meet likeminded people who are also helping to grow business in the local area.
Here are three of the organisations we support and, who in return, support us as a growing local business.
Destination Chesterfield
We’re proud Chesterfield Champions and part of network of over 200 businesses who support the local economy. And our CEO Andy Ball was recently awarded “Entrepreneur of the Year” at their Love Chesterfield awards.
Destination Chesterfield is responsible for developing a co-ordinated approach to promoting our town. They aim to raise the profile of Chesterfield by harnessing its location, potential and confidence to establish its role as a contemporary destination, nestled on the border of the world famous Peak District and adjacent to Sheffield.
Dom Stevens, Destination Chesterfield Manager, recently spoke at Great2Work’s Business Lounge launch event; giving an update on the regeneration plans and initiatives happening in Chesterfield.
East Midlands Chambers
Along with 4000 other businesses, we are members of the East Midlands Chamber. EMC is a supportive network focused on business growth. Andy was recognised, again, as a finalist in their “Entrepreneur of the Year” category at their Derbyshire Business Awards this year.
BNI Derbyshire South
Last year we joined a local BNI chapter - a positive, supportive and structured environment for business development. Our CEO Andy wrote about why we joined. It’s been a great way to expand our network and extend our services to their community - welcoming in BNI members into Great2Work’s coworking space and meeting rooms.
We look forward to deepening these important relationship further in 2023.
